At the end of last year, we ran an exciting competition with Glastonbury Festival to create the design for the Yeo Valley side of this year’s official festival bag. We’ve worked with Glastonbury Festival for many years, and we’re always thrilled to see our bag around the festival. Our bag designs from previous years have even become collectable for many revellers.
Last year, for the first time, we introduced a staff competition to create the bag design. This year, we were pleased to be able to extend this competition to everyone. We called on all budding artists, designers, or anyone with creative flair, to have a go at the 2015 design. As well as the main prize to have their design printed on 135,000 festival bags, we were also offering the winner a pair of Glastonbury tickets, to make sure they didn’t miss out on seeing their design on show!
We received hundreds of colourful, fun and wacky designs, so choosing our finalists was very tricky indeed. We managed to narrow it down, then took to Facebook to let the ‘likes’ do the talking. Our top five finalists with the most ‘likes’ were presented to our panel of judges, who had the tough task of choosing our winner. After much deliberating, we’re delighted to announce that this year’s winner is the super-talented, Samantha Owen!
Samantha works as a Marketing Executive for the organic baby company, Little Green Sheep, based in Worcestershire. Her design really caught our eye and captured that special Glastonbury feeling. We can’t wait to see it everywhere at the festival this year.
